Welcome!

Here at Bedminster we are proud of the number of youth players who go onto progress and play at a senior level. That move begins in earnest with the U13s. The majority of the U13s are long-standing youth members but we also know there are many Yr7 & Yr8s who may have just discovered the cricket bug at secondary school and would like to take it further.

Our job at this age range is to support the young players as they make that step into senior level cricket, and ensure the timing is right, to not only continue to develop their skills and abilities, but also to make sure they keep the love of the game which will last them through their playing lives and beyond.

Our U13s have a mix of county, zonal & club players, which we feel gives a good balance of skills in the team. Our focus on team play, peer-learning and expert coaching makes sure every player reaches his or her true potential.

Age range:
The Under 13 age range includes Youth Players in School Yr. 7 & Yr. 8 as well as girls up to Yr. 10.

Match Opportunities:
The club organises and participates in 20-over competitions in the Bristol Youth Cricket League (BYCL), the North Somerset Youth Cricket League (NSYCL), and this year we are also entering an elite team of our players into the Gloucester Youth Cricket League (GYCL). This is all very exciting for us as over the past few years the U13s has developed its core of committed youth players into a strong team.
