With three games to go the away trip to Blagdon was going to provide a tough test for an under strength Bedminster side and although to the neutral any cricket match that ends in a tie would be considered exciting and enthrawling, in truth for a team chasing a top two finish it was a game thrown away by some indifferent fielding. Three easy run out opportunities missed and two sets of over throws going to the boundary in the end was the difference.
Chasing 255 they made a good go of it with some good shots and some intelligent running between the wickets especially from Oliver and David in the middle order. But Blagdon always seemed to pick up a wicket at important times in the game, none more so than the last ball of the penultimate over. Needing 4 from the final over against a very good leg spinner, they only managed 3 singles and had to settle for the tie.
