The Under 11s made a few changes from the midweek win against Knowle and maintained their winning run playing with 9 men following a late cry off. In the sweltering heat at Cheddar the home side put Bedminster into bat. Olly set the ball rolling and although losing a couple of early wickets was still able to hit way out of trouble punishing the bad balls. The middle order continued at a slower rate but only losing the odd wicket maintained the scoring and the now ever reliable final pairing of Dan and Billy added another 20+ runs to set a very competitive score.
After plenty of liquids on board Bedminster took to the field very confident of defending their total with Brody opening the bowling and David continuing where he left off against Knowle keeping things to a minimum from the first four overs. The target was never really in danger as every bowler kept it generally straight just conceding the odd wide or single. Other highlights included Dan dismantling the stumps with his first delivery and Olly making up for his miss field to throw the ball in for a clear run out. Good overs from Billy and Oliver ensured everyone played their part. The team spirit was there for all to see and playing with a smile on your face is great to see.
