Less than 24 hours after the first XI, the Under 11s travelled to Clevedon and were not going to let a bit of rain scupper their chances of winning another North Somerset league game. Although the run chase was slightly delayed by the drizzle once they got going they put in a very solid workman like performance to see off a useful Clevedon side.
Bowling and fielding was good enough to restrict the home side to 267 off their 20 overs with Amber taking out middle stump and moments later Dan hitting the same stumps with a direct hit run out really making a difference to their total.
Olly and Charlie set the ball rolling getting in to the 20s and with the middle order maintaining the momentum with some sensible batting the total was passed with four overs to go. Once again it was left to Dan and George to steer the ship home without cause for alarm.
Nothing fancy, no frills, just get the job done!
