Winning start for Under 11s

A large crowd on chilly night saw Lodway visit the Clanage for the first BYCL game of the season. Home captain Dan won the toss and put the visitors into bat. Bedminster seamers Charlie, Dan and George and leg spinner Joseph bowled very well and were supported by Olly and Brody. Fielding was generally good and catches taken by David and Olly helped restrict Lodway to a respectable 98. Bedminster went about the run chase with confidence and attacked the bowlers with Ali making 24 and Olly retiring on 25. Billy and David kept the score ticking over and an entertaining cameo from George came to end when he hit the winning runs smashing a four over extra cover with two overs to spare. Great all round team performance and a confidence boosting start to the season. The fans go home cold but thoroughly entertained.
