Hi everyone, my name is Andy Sheldrake and I am the new U11 manager.

The Under 11 Lions play in the Bristol Youth Cricket League (BYCL). As a first-time manager I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead and getting the players on the pitch.

I have been playing at Bedminster for over 10 years and all of my family play for the club as well, in the woman’s and youth sections.

The U11’s is the starting point for most young players within the club to begin their cricket journey and develop a love for the game which hopefully will grow and develop for a lifetime for all our players.

Training will be on a Tuesday night 1830-2000, and I would expect everyone to attend so we can build up a good team spirit, get to know each other and develop and practice the skills.

Having played cricket for such a long time, myself, I know the matches are more enjoyable for everyone, including me and the other coaches, if we have lots of support and help. This can be in the way of scoring, setting up & packing away and warmups, so please let me know if you are able to help with this.

Lastly, I am really excited to be able to manage the U11’s and finally get the players playing some cricket this season.
