Bedminster U'15s reached a competitive score of 117 thanks to 45 not out from Lewis Shean, before a strong all round bowling performance saw Old Bristolians restricted to 107.
Bedminster CC under 15s once again lifted the North Somerset cup, making it the clubs third in a row. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bedminster were able to reach a competitive total thanks to a determined innings from Lewis Shean. Shean who batted at number three, held Bedminster's innings together as wickets fell regularly at the other end and Old Bristolians threatened to restrict Bedminster to an under par total. Shean's 45 not out featured excellent running between the wickets, as well as adaptability epitomised by a reverse sweep over point for four. Bedminster had fought their way to a score of 117.
In reply, Old Bristolians initially struggled to keep up with the rate in the face of an excellent opening burst from openers Bailey Peacock and Harry Drissell. They did however begin tot threaten as an excellent partnership between Oli Meadows and Finlay Yeates before Adam Hares bowled the match turning over, taking two wickets and the steam out of Old Bristolians chase and leave them at 59-3. To their credit, Old B's continued to rally and made it to the final over needing 12 to win. Controversially Old B's retired one of their Batsmen (who had hurt himself earlier in his innings and batted on) at the end of the 19th over. However amid the excitement,Joe Millard, who bowled excellently under pressure, held his nerve to finish the game off and claim the trophy for his team.
