Despite some positive signs the fifth XI failed to chase 103 runs to win.
After winning the toss and putting Timsbury in to bat, Bedminster took wickets steadily and throughout the Timsbury innings which lasts just over 30 overs.
Wickets were shared between the youthful Bedminster attack and Moggy! The pick of the figures was Owen Peacock taking 3 wickets for 24 runs - this included wrapping up the Timsbury tail with this second spell.
Matt Lee bowled 1 devastating over - unlike not to claim a wicket with this pace bowling. A special mention to Cody Pullin who bowled well and claimed 2 wickets on debut.
Fielding was tight, with catches from Shopland x 2, Giles, Mogg x 2 and Smith.
After a very nice tea, Bedminster forgot that Cricket had two halves, and after an encouraging start, lost wickets easily. The pitch played a part with both Peacocks and Giles getting caught with the ball sticking in the pitch and fail to tame deliveries. Despite resistance in the middle order from Matt Lee (14) and some mature batting from Peacock and Lee, it was left to Mogg and Belcher to try and find the 50 runs needed with no rabbits left in the hutch.
The tailed wagged, wagged some more and then ran out of puff after Belcher pulled one to square leg, who chested it up and somehow kept hold of the pull. This summed up the Timsbury fielding display, with three very good catches to dismiss Bedminster players probably proving the difference between the two sides.
