An experience Patchway narrowly pipped Bedminster to the win. Bedminster were always struggling to chase the 218 runs set by Patchway. Some poor bowling in difficult overcast windy conditions made for an uphill struggle.
Good bowling from David Peel (8-0-23-2) wasn't supported elsewhere in the line up, although the uphill slog is neither easy or enjoyable.
Bedminster bravely posted 205 in return, getting very close, but not close enough. Stewart Mason topped scored making 40 off of 81 balls, but the snail like innings put the team behind the rate, so despite 36 from 29 balls for captain Giles, the team could not get the runs required. A brave performance, but the bowling once again cost the team.
