Bedminster 4’s field a very strong team and win the toss, bat is order of the day.
With Lee Davis going early Ted Over set about the Thornbury attack making a quick fire 20.
This continued with Aidan Jones, 51, Lewis Shean, 29, and Lee Shorney, 47, and it seemed Bedminster could well be on to a 270+ score.
However, runs slowed up, and the bottom order struggled trying to make up the pace. All out for 226 with an over to spare, which would prove costly.
Harry Drissell started in fine form and ably supported by Dale Davis coming up the hill Bedminster kept the visitors scoring down, scoring chances were rare and Bedminster looked set again.
Kishen Patel worked hard for his 8-1-34-1 but the other bowlers struggled and Thornbury turned the tide and looked favourites until Lee Davis made a good catch in the deep.
The re-introduction of D.Davis, 8-38-0 and Drissell, 8-19-2, halted this and it came down to Thornbury needing 6 off A.Jones last over and all looked good for Bedminster until an edge of the penultimate ball went for 4.
Thornbury could only manage a single off the last and the match was tied.
A great effort in the end to save the game and remain unbeaten.
