Mason Burn By Millard

The tenth game of the season saw title chasing 2s looking to bounce back from last weeks horror show, and stamp there authority on the league against struggling Midsomer Norton. Having assessed the pitch in his normal moronic style skipper Tryfonos won the toss and elected to field. Reliable opener James Duckworth once again went wicketless in his opening spell, from which he was dragged off after 2 overs. Luckily for Bedminster debuton Joe Millard was on hand at the other end, swinging it "about half a yard" are removing most of Midsomer's top order. Cartwheeling the off stump twice and amazingly having a catch caught at slip by Tryfonos (his first of the season). Not content with his four wickets Milsey somehow managed to back up Duckys horrendous run out attempt to save his comrades blushes and adding a run out to his name. Duckys early exit from the attack saw H Newman brought onto bowl, picking up one wicket before deciding he could bounce out the rest of Midsomer's order with his fearful 50mph bowling. he was shortly given his marching orders. Tryfonos turned to his son Max to continue the misery upon Midsomer and wrap up the tail. Unfortunately the only misery Max was able to deliver was to his own team, sending down 9 overs of filth for 1 wicket. Rothero and Viks so bored by the proceedings and thinking of the imminent teas dropped two very simple catches. Naz was finally brought into the attack to remove the final two wickets needed and he duly delivered, Midsomer's Lee Shorney sending a high catch to Rothero, who although confused by Naz's shout of "Catch it ducky" held on. Finally taking Bedminster of the field. Midsomer Norton bowled out for 140.

Having moaned the entire day about his back you would be forgiven for confusion when Tryfonos decided to open the batting. However his decision became apparent when he batted in unusual fashion scoring well above his normal 30% strike rate, perhaps his bowels had more of a say in that than anything else. Unfortunately for Max he wasn't able to resemble his dads prolific. Start chipping his second ball to square leg for a duck, luckily he took it well and never spent an hour sulking in the changing room. Joe Shean eager to impress scored at a steady rate for his 19, putting Bedminster well on there way to victory. It was left to captain and vice captain Vikash to finish the job for Bedminster, and with Vik's hitting some impressive boundary's and Greek playing for his not out Bedminster completed the job with just two casualties leaving Vikash 14* and Tryfonos 75*.

Bedminster Moved back to top of the league... lets just hope we can stay there longer the we managed last time.
