Following the AGM in November the club can announce that Rob Egerton was voted back in as chairman following his 1 year break from the role. Rob took the break to fulfil the role of club captain at his golf club and now as planned has stepped back into the Chairman role at Bedminster CC.
Rob stated that he was 'looking to continue the good work Terry Barnes had done over the last 12 months, which included the first XI retaining their place in WEPL Premier 1 and the youth winning a number of competitions'. Rob continued 'I want to place on record my thanks to Terry for taking on this challenging role and putting in so much effort during my break. I also continue my thanks to Richard Filer who stepped in as vice chairman for the year'.
Richard Filer will return to his role as vice chairman for the youth and is looking forward to pushing this section forward to a higher level again over the next few years.
In other changes, Keith Egerton replaces Debbie Carter as treasurer, a role she filled for over 10 years. Rob added his thanks to Debbie for her great work and he said she would still be around the club, helping Bob Carter with his role as bar secretary and dealing with the money side of that role.
With the off the field roles sorted, the club appointed Rob Cunliffe as Club Captain. This role is in addition to being the clubs Head Coach. Rob was voted in unanimously and is already doing work behind the scenes to ensure Bedminster have the best possible squad for the 2018 season.
Jon Jones and Teddy Over took on the 3rd and 4th XI captain roles respectively. All other captains remained the same.
